Qi Lin is a mythical creature made up of different auspicious animals in the Chinese culture. The body is fully or partially scaled and often shaped like an ox, deer or lion.

One famous legend about Qi Lin speaks of the birth of Confucius, a great Chinese philosopher, that was foretold by the arrival of Qi Lin. Thus, Qi Lin is thought to bring along many good omens, such as longevity, fertility and prosperity.

In Feng Shui practice, Qi Lin is used to enhance overall good fortune.
