Less is indeed more. The Shanghai based brand, was procured from the famous architecture philosophy, “Less is More”, by world renowned architect, Mies vander Rohe. Under the JNBY Finery Co.,Ltd., LESS is a high- end women’s wear apparel. Recently, we spoke to the designer, Tang Yu, to share with us about the brand and their Fall/ Winter 14/15 collection.
Who is LESS?
Established in 2010, LESS is inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s architecture maxim, “Less is More”. Focusing on the use of high quality fabrics, combining design innovation with sophisticated simplicity.

What are the inspirations behind this season's collection?
Fall Winter 14/15 Collection：Embracing the pure elements of minimalism, LESS draws inspiration from American aviation pioneer and author Amelia Earhart for her pure simplicity and adventurous spirit. Elements of flight and graceful independence are fused into the designs, conveying character in the shapes, colors and fabrics of the collection.
What is your vision for the label?
Our goals for the future of LESS are a comfortable, creative working environment and a culture of freedom for the design teams. My own interest in production techniques and fabrication will drive the evolution of the brand as a creative lab.
